You will be responsible for delivering an outstanding and high-quality ultrasound service with a drive to deliver clinical excellence.

This is a 0 hours contract - various hours of work are available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patients safely and appropriately
  • Provide ultrasound services to the highest quality
  • Perform ultrasound examinations and compile concise and comprehensive reports
  • Work with other team members to ensure the smooth functioning of the ultrasound service
  • Ensure patient records, reports to patients are in accordance with TFP/USD Information Governance requirements.
  • To enter patient information onto the database.
  • Ensure excellent communication with service users and key partners so that their needs and views are taken into account in the planning and monitoring of service delivery.
  • Be able to clearly explain sonography procedure to patients and making them at ease.
  • Be able to independently perform diagnostic monitoring scans during IVF treatment and early pregnancy.
  • The ability to explain technical terms in a clear and understandable way.
  • Be able to confidently deal with sensitive difficult situations, when delivery bad news
  • To perform other adhoc tasks


The Location:

You will be required to work at some or all the following locations:

  • Bristol
  • Cardiff
  • Oxford
  • Stoke-on-Trent
  • Norwich
  • Derby
  • Leicester
  • Cambridge
  • Peterborough
  • Cambridge
  • Lincoln

The role will require travel between these clinics - one will be assigned as a 'base clinic' dependant on your location preference and expenses for travel will be permitted for travel between the other locations. 

Job requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Post graduate ultrasound qualifications in ultrasound imaging (predominantly obstetrics).

• Driving licence and / or access to transport.

• HCPC, NMC or other relevant professional registration, preferably with a strong NHS History.

• DBS Clearance and right to work in the UK.

• Minimum postgraduate experience: 1-2 years.

• Required language: English


Full Time: Various contracts available - hours of work can be flexible

Salary: Competitive (Depending on Experience)
