The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Accountant to support our group finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across our group of companies. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an accountant with relevant experience ready to develop their career in group accounting and financial consolidation.
The key requirements of this role are to support month end close of the Group’s corporate entities and support the Group Reporting team in producing Group accounting and monthly management information. We are looking for an accountant with an enthusiasm for getting involved in multiple projects providing the group with reports and information of a very high standard while always seeking to improve processes.
This is a part time role - Ideally working 5 days - Monday to Friday - 09.00 - 15.00
The position is hybrid working onsite in Oxford Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
We are able to offer some flexibility on these timings for the successful candidate if required.

Oxford Fertility was established in 1992 and is one of the UK’s longest standing and largest IVF clinics. Due to the passion, expertise and reputation of our team, the clinic has grown into a leading fertility clinic and offers a full suite of treatment and diagnostic services, including PGT and IVM. Providing treatment to both NHS and private patients. Conveniently located in a business park setting on the outskirts of Oxford, close to junction 8a of the M40, there is ample free parking for staff and patients around the building.
Key Responsibilities:
Ownership of setting monthly Forex rates for the Group and validating and accounting for all entries associated with Forex
Prepare Group Holding Companies’ monthly journals and produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Responsibility for the UK entities’ expenses and credit card processes, systems and correct accounting
Review, reconciliation and correct posting of all credit card spend. Producing analysis identifying trends or areas of concern for senior management
Manage master data, e.g. procurement in Navision
Reconcile information regularly to ensure the integrity of all information uploaded and reported. This includes accountability for accurate and complete reconciliations of intercompany accounts for:
Group recharges and cross charges
Formal interest-bearing loans
Cash Pooling Arrangements
Trading invoices (AP/AR)
Producing and reconciling all TFP Group invoicing, including for example Group Recharges. Ensure timely payment of all invoices
Liaising with the auditors and providing relevant group information on the group audit each year
Producing UK entity Annual Statutory Accounts
Work collaboratively with finance teams in different entities/regions to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Support the Group Reporting team in producing Group consolidation accounting and monthly management information
Get involved in adhoc group projects as required by the business from time to time.

Job requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
AAT Level 4 or equivalent Bachelors Degree
Strong knowledge of finance, basic accounting principles and financial statements.
Attention to detail
Energy and attitude to want to learn and develop
Flexible attitude and able to handle deadlines
Well organised
Good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft software
Project coordination
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain terminology and concepts not familiar to others
Capable of developing good working relationships with individuals at all levels both internal and external
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable:
ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent
Experience in group consolidation
Knowledge of Navision
Period working in a multi-site environment or audit
Salary: Competitive (Depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Hours of work: 9.00am – 3.00pm
Hybrid working: Tues, Weds, Thurs on-site in Oxford
Pension: Dual contribution pension scheme
Holiday Entitlement: 27 Days + Bank holidays (pro rata)
